Finally, Brother...

My husband has a heart for prison ministries. A little over four years ago, Brian was asked to mentor a young man in one of Nashville's prisons. It has come full circle for Brian, because this young man is being released this week. With that in mind, Brian wanted a very special gift to give as he exits the prison and asked me to work on a painting for him. It meant a lot to me to do this, simply because I know how far this man has come and the special bond Brian has with him. From 5k races and bible study to prayer and spaghetti dinners, Brian has grown to love this man as a brother... Here's the finished product, a 12x12 canvas with a unique "frame" which I crafted myself with a LOT of time and painter's tape:
